Cardiff Rugby welcomed the Ospreys to the Cardiff Arms Park today and after eighty minutes of brutal rugby, the teams shared the spoils with a 13-13 draw.
After five minutes of play, Cardiff got the driving maul going, but it was pulled down illegally. Another attacking lineout for the home side five metres out when they chuck nearly everyone into the maul and force their way over the line. Flanker James Botham scored for Cardiff to lead 05-00.
After thirty minutes of play a try by the Ospreys is disallowed. Two minutes later Dan Edwards converted a penalty to reduce Cardiff's lead to just two points.
With one minute to play in the first half, Ospreys' lock James Fender was red-carded for a neck roll.
Cardiff led 05-03 at the halftime break.
After ten minutes of play in the second half, Cardiff's Teddy Williams is sin-binned for an infringement at a lineout.
The Ospreys were on the attack for an extended time when poor defence from Cardiff and some nice power from Dan Edwards led to a great try by Edwards. Edwards also converted to give the Ospreys a 10-05 lead.
After five minutes of play, Cardiff was back on the attack, with their driving maul going well making several meters. The first maul led to a penalty, while the second one rumbles over with Dafydd Hughes who scored to level the scores 10-10.
With ten minutes to play and a second yellow card to Cardiff, the teams exchanged penalties to end the match with a 13-13 draw.
