Canada Beat Blitzboks For Bronze

The Blitzboks failed to defend their HSBC Canada title and ended fourth after a disappointing finals day in Vancouver, Canada. The Blitzboks came up against a confident host Canada in the third-place playoffs after they lost to the New Zealand 27-15 in the semifinal.

The halftime score was 14-14 but Canada scored two quick tries in the second half to lead 26-14 with minutes to go. A try by the Blitsboks at the end could not save them and they lost 19-26 to Canada.
