Paarl Boishaai or Hoër Jongenskool Paarl is recognised as one of the top rugby schools in South Africa and the World. However, in the past few years, they have not "performed" to the high standards that their supporters expect. A top five for 2025 is predicted unless .....
Their 2024 season was more or less what was "expected", however, the loss to Wynberg, also who had a horrible season, was a big upset. The other defeats were against Paul Roos, Affies, Grey College and Paarl Gim.
Late in 2024, Paarl Boishaai appointed Neil de Bruin as the Director of Rugby to help turn the ship around, and the whole country is excited, some scared, to see the influence that the young de Bruin will have.
Paarl Boishaai had one boy who attended the U16 EPD camp in September and four boys who were invited to the U17 EPD camp in December.
The provisional fixtures do not show any surprises, however, it was confirmed that Paarl Boishaai will not play at the KES Easter Rugby Festival in April. However, a touring squad will depart for the UK in a few weeks which will definately give Sean Erasmus time to wave his magic wand.
EPD Squad players with positions in brackets: Francois van der Merwe (15), Jayden Joubert (5), Jordan Jooste (1), Liam de Villiers (9), Tristan Joubert (13).
