The DHL Western Province u/20 travel to Bloemfontein on Saturday desperate for their first win in the SA Rugby u/20 Cup competition when they play the unbeaten Toyota Cheetahs u/20 at 12:00 (SA Time).
The Toyota Cheetahs are currently unbeaten after two matches and are placed third on the SA Rugby Cup competition log with 10 log points after two matches while DHL Western Province u/20 are last on the log with only 1 log point after three matches.
The Toyota Cheetahs u.20 Head Coach, Henley Du Plessis, made four changes to the starting line-up with Liam Prinsloo and Luke Carew forming a new centre pairing, the only changes at the back. Hooker Sifiso Mpanza and Liyema Ntshanga at loosehead are the changes made upfront.
There are a number of changes to the DHL Western Province U20 team for their SA Rugby U20 Cup match against Toyota Cheetahs U20 in Bloemfontein on Saturday.
Upfront loosehead prop, Matthew Beckett comes in, while there is also an all-new lock pairing of Patric Kitete and Hennie Sieberhagen. Corbin Benjamin moves to the blindside flank, with Eely Peters starting at No.8. In the backline the versatile FC Fourie is at flyhalf, with Thomas Nel linking up with Damian Marcus in midfield.
DHL Western Province U20 Head Coach Norman Jordaan said that his team is determined to make the most of the trip to Bloemfontein.
“It has been a good training week and we would like to put together an 80-minute performance on Saturday. It will be tough in Bloemfontein, but we have confidence that this group can pull together and get the result we are looking for,” he said.
