In the third match in Round 3 of the 2021 Varsity Cup Competition, CUT face the Shimlas at the TUKS B Field @ 16h00. CUT will hope and should score their third win in a row against their Bloemfontein rivals. CUT with their dominant pack of forwards should control the game as well as the scoreboard.
CUT already has two good wins in the bag and are currently 1st on the 2021 Varsity Cup log. CUT's first win was against UJ (46-13) and scored their second impressive win against the Madibaz with 51-13.
CUT made no changes to their starting line-up for the third time in a row.
Shimlas are still looking for their first win of the 2021 Varsity Cup. They drew their match in Round 1 against UWC with 28-28 and lost against the NWU Eagles with 32-22.
At the back, Shima Molepo replaces Keano Windvogel at wing in the only change. Two new loosies, Uzile Tele and Lourens Oosthuizen were selected. Thabang Mahlasi at lock and Hentie Beukes at tighthead are the other two new Faces.
