Bulls Set To Deal Grey College A Big Blow

 

South African schoolboy rugby is set to lose one of their best coaches to the Bulls according to the Rapport newspaper. Wessel du Plessis, Grey College's head coach, is according to the Rapport in Jake White's sights to take over form Nollis Marais. Nollis was recently promoted to the Super Rugby coaching staff of the Bulls.

Wessel who is well-known by the schoolboy rugby fraternity with his successes at Grey College. He took over as head coach of Grey College in 2014 and currently boast a 88% winning percentage and was set to complete the 2020 season unbeaten. The last time Grey College's 1stXV was 20 May 2017 against Selborne (19-20).

Wessel follows in the footsteps of great schoolboy coaches, Sean Erasmus and Phiwe Nomlomo who was also contracted by Super Rugby Unions during the past two years.
