Bulls Boss Suggest The Vodacom Bulls Moving Loftus To Europe

Blue Bulls Rugby Union President Willem Strauss has hinted that a solution to the challenges regarding travelling to and from Europe for the Rugby Championship could be to play the Vodacom Bulls' home matches at a European base.

"Our season will continue on the 11th with the Champions Cup match away against Castres in bitterly cold conditions and then only one week later in summer conditions against Stade Francais at Loftus."

"A possible solution for us going forward in this competition could be to play our home matches at a European base."

"The playing schedule for the Champions Cup as well as format, will be very difficult to change due to the European leagues like the French Top 14 and Premiership who needs to fit into their very full calendars and include strong broadcaster and commercial deals."

Despite being controversial it could be a financially wise decision as the Bulls would be earning in British Pounds and/or Euro for ticket sales. Expanding their brand in Europe would also be advantageous to the Vodacom Bulls.
