Paarl Boishaai travelled to Rondebosch with a lot of confidence that they will be able to continue their dominance over Rondebosch of the past decades. However, a determined Rondebosch awaited them in rainy and muddy conditions. After 70 minutes of war Boishaai deservedly walk off the field with a 30-20 victory.
Several injuries to the Rondebosch team resulted in only two of the starting lineup in grade 12 while both their captain as well as their vice-captain formed part of the injury list.
Boishaai showed early in the match that they were willing to let the ball do the talking. A bit of a surprise was the "dominance" of Rondebosch with their forwards standing their ground against the bigger boys from Boishaai.
