Blitzboks With A Great Start Against Kenya In HSBC Sydney Sevens

The Blitzboks started their HSBC Sydney Sevens campaign with a brilliant 31-05 win against Kenya.

The Blitzboks had to absorb the physical onslaught from Kenya and managed to stop any attack from Kenya with great defence. As the half continued the Blitzbos started to beat the big Kenians with great handling and footwork.

It opened up early as the Blitzboks attacked through the middle of the field for Shilton van Wyk to score the first try under the poles to establish an early lead of 07-00. Van Wyk gets a double with 70 minutes on the clock. Shaun Williams beats his defender with great feet to score under the post to give the Blitzboks a 21-00 lead going into the halftime break.

The Blitzboks continue their great work with James Murphy strolling over for the Blitzboks' 4th try. Kenya scored a deserved try after attacking for several minutes to still trailed 05-28. Siviwe Soyizwapi scored the final try after once again great handling to beat Kenya 31-05.
