Blitzboks Wins Dubai 7’s In Brilliant Manner

 

The Blitzboks won their 4th HSBC Dubai in a row, beating Ireland comprehensively 21-05 in the final.

Shilton van Wyk cut the defence of Ireland in two to score a long-distance try for the Blitzboks. The Blitzboks took the lead within the first minute of the final. Shilton van Wyk scored the Blitzboks second try after the Blitzboks threatened for an extended period. Siviwe Soyizwapi intercepted a loose Ireland try to run the length of the pitch for the Blitzboks' third try. The Blitzboks led 21-00 at the halftime break and were in control of the final at that stage.

It took Ireland 4 minutes in the second half to score their first try of the final. The Blitzboks cruising to their fourth title in a row at the Dubai Sevens with a comprehensive 21-05.
