Blitzboks Second Half Brilliance Secure Win Over Canada

 

The Blitzboks started their hunt for their first HSBC Cape Town Sevens title since 2015 with a 17-07 win over Canada.

Canada started like a house on fire putting the Blitzboks' defence under continuous pressure. However, they could only score the first try of the match after five minutes of play to take a 07-00 lead. The Blitzboks struck back almost immediately with a try of their own and trailed 05-07 at the halftime break.

The second half was all action with the Blitzboks scoring two tries in quick succession to take the lead 17-07 with two minutes left to play. A great second half by the Blitzboks secured the win against a spirited Canada.
