The Blitzboks opened their 2024 HSBC Cape Town SVNS campaign with a 36-07 win over Ireland.
The Blitzboks started like a house on fire and scored four unanswered tries in the first half to lead 24-00 at the halftime break. Tries were scored by David Brits, Quewin Nortje (2) and Impi Visser.
Impi Visser scored his second try of the match within a minute of the start of the second half, whereafter, Josh Costello scored the Irish only try. Mfundo Ndlovu scored a late try for the Blitzboks to secure a 36-07 win for the Blitzboks.
