The Blitzboks started their defence of the Emirates Dubai SVNS with a brilliant 17-00 win over Australia.
The Blitzboks started the match by dominating territory and possession. Quewin Nortje continued his tryscoring brilliance and scored in the corner after three minutes of play. Tristan Leyds added the Blitzboks' second try two minutes later to lead 10-00.
Tristan Leyds scored his second try of the match after a sixty-odd meter run to extend the Blitzboks' lead to 17-00. A great dominant display by the Blitzboks to secure their first win.
