The Blitzboks scored two late tries within the two last minutes of the match against the USA to secure a 26-14 win.
The first four minutes of the first half were a period of missed opportunities for both teams. Two tries within two minutes by the Blitzboks gave them a lead of 14-00, which was also the halftime score.
A yellow card shown to Justin Geduld resulted in the USA scoring two tries in quick succession to level the scores at 14-14. Tries by Impi Visser and Ronald Brown in the dying minutes of the match secured a 26-14 win for the Blitzboks.
