The Blitzbok's handling let them down on several occasions against Argentina who, despite the Blitzboks' best efforts, won 19-05. Despite the loss the Blitzboks qualified for the Cup finals playoffs.
The Blitzboks started like a house on fire when Quewin Nortje scored in the corner following great handling from the Blitzboks. However, a 6 man Argentina hit back almost immediately with a try to take the lead 07-05. Brilliant interplay led to Argentina's second try to go into the second half leading 14-05.
It took Argentina 4 minutes in the second half to score a well-worked try in the corner to extend their lead to 19-05
