The Blitzboks had a brilliant start against Japan 7s in their second match of the HSBC Seven Series - Vancouver. The Blitzboks led 26-00 at the halftime break and after leaking two tries won 40-12.
It took the Blitzboks only 40 seconds to score their first try following a quick tap from a penalty that put the captain in the clear.
Christie Grobbelaar ran a great line to cut through the Japanese defence to lead 14-00. Impi Visser scored the Blitzboks' third try easily beating the defence from Japan.
Siviwe Soyizwapi scored his second try out wide, easily beating the Japanese defence with two minutes still to go. The Blitzboks led 26-00 going into the second half.
Tricky Ricky cut through the defence of Japan to run 50 meters plus to score the Blitzboks' 1st try in the second half. Japan scored a great try from within their own 22m to open up their account, however, still trailing 07-26.
Japan exposed the once again poor defence from the Blitzboks' second try with the red lights starting to show for the Blitzboks.
Noegh Hayward scored his first try on debut for the Blitzboks after some great work by Christie Grobbelaar. The Blitzboks are easy winners with 40-12.
