Blitzboks Beat Spain To Secure Place In HSBC Cape Town SVNS Final

 

A great second-half effort by the Blitzboks secured them a 19-12 win in the first semi-final of the HSBC Cape Town SVNS. 

Spain started like a house on fire and scored two early tries to lead 12-00 with time up in the first half. However, the Blitzboks attacked for the first time of the match and Zain Davids scored in the corner. Spain led 12-05 at the halftime break.

The Blitzboks pitched in the second half and Shilton van Wyk and Tristan Leyds scored a try each to give the Blitzboks a 19-12 lead with four minutes to play in the second half. A lot of excitement in the remainder of the second half, however, no points were scored as the Blitzboks secured a place in the final against France tonight at 19:11.
