Blitzboks Beat New Zealand Despite Two Yellow Cards To Win Pool B

 

The Blitzboks showed a lot of character when they won 17-14 against New Zealand with a converted penalty by Ricardo Duarttee in the last seconds of the match.

The Blitzboks won Pool B and will play Ireland in the second quarter-finals at 11:05.

It took New Zealand 4 minutes to cut open the Blitzboks' defence to score the first try for New Zealand and the match. The Blitzbooks ended a long period of pressure when Shilton van Wyk score a great try in the corner to level the score.

A yellow card to Jaiden Baron (Blitzboks) was immediately taken advantage of by New Zealand when they scored a quick try to retake the lead with 5 minutes of play left on the clock. However, Zain Davids intercepted a loose pass by New Zealand to level the scores once again.

Impi Visser (Blitzboks) received a yellow card, however, the Blitzboks converted a penalty in the last seconds of the match to win Pool B.
