The Blitzboks secured their first win in the HSBC Cape Town SVNS in nine years following a brilliant and unbeaten campaign, beating France 26-14.
France started like a house on fire and scored the first try after just one minute of play. The Blitzboks replied with tries by Donovon Don and Zain Davids to lead 14-07 with two minutes to play. France scored a great try to level the scores at 14-14 going into the halftime break.
The Blitzboks started the second half with great worked tries by Shilton van Wyk and David Brits to extend the Blitzboks lead to 26-14 with four minutes to play.
Despite a lot of excitement, the Blitzboks hang on for a deserved 26-14 HSBC Cape Town SVNS title, the first in nine years in Cape Town.
