Exeter Chiefs prop Ben Moon is forecasting “a lot of physicality” when the Gallagher Premiership club host Vodacom Bulls in Round 2 of the Heineken Champions Cup on Saturday.
Fresh from a 27-12 triumph at Castres Olympique in Round 1 last weekend, the England international cannot wait to welcome the South African side to Sandy Park.
“If they’re anything like the South Africans we’ve got, then they will bring a lot of physicality,” he predicted. “They tell us a lot of stories from back home. I’m sure they’ll live up to that.
“It’s not only playing against new players but experiencing a new country, experiencing the altitude and the heat obviously when we visit Loftus Versveld."
“It will be a tough challenge, but one everyone’s really looking forward to. We’ve been out through the mill a bit this pre-season, the heat we had this summer, so hopefully, that will put us in good stead.”
Exeter travels to Loftus Versfeld in Pretoria to take on Vodacom Bulls in the return fixture on January 14.
