The All Blacks travelled to Turin and beat Italy 29-11 in a hard-fought match, greeting All Blacks stars Sam Cane and TJ Perenara, who made their final appearances for New Zealand.
Italy dominated the early exchanges in the first half, and Paulo Garbisi converted two penalties to the one converted by Beauden Barrett. Italy led 06-03 after twenty minutes of the first half.
Three minutes later, the All Blacks scored the first try of the night. Cam Roigard picked up a bouncing ball, sold a dummy a pass to his right and found a gap in the Italian defensive line to go over for the try. Beauden Barrett converted, giving New Zealand the lead for the first time tonight by 10-06.
With time up in the first half, Will Jordan continued his try-scoring to increase the All Blacks lead to 17-06 at the halftime break.
No points were added to the scoreboard for the first thirty minutes of the second half.
The All Blacks scored the first points of the match when Mark Telea scored their third try. Beauden Barrett converted a tough conversion to extend the All Blacks' lead to 18 points.
Italy replied almost immediately when a Paolo Garbisi crossfield kick is knocked down into the path of Marco Zanon, who got a terrific offload out of the back of his hand to Tommaso Menoncello, who scored Italy's first try of the match.
With time up Beauden Barrett picked up a horrible clearance kick by Italy and darted down the left-hand touchline to score, securing a 29-11 win for the All Blacks.
