Affies Hosts Diamantveld And We All Are Watching

Affies will host Diamantveld on Saturday in what is expected cold and wet conditions. Affies supporters will expect much of the same medicine that was given to Helpmekaar the past weekend, with a lot of attention to be given to the 1stXV's performance.

This will be Affies' second match of the season with the first a win over Helpmekaar (27-17). Diamantveld, on the other hand, has been very active with wins over Louis Botha HTS (22-19), Wesvalia (31-7) and Sentraal (60-3).

Affies made several changes to their backline with maybe the most important that off last weekend's Dieter Crafford who moves from fullback to flyhalf in place of the injured Terblanche van Lill. Dieter's place is taken by the 14 of last week Quewin Nortje with Kyle Liebenberg switching from 11 to 14. Speedster Bjorn van Wyk comes in at 11 while Johan du Toit moves to the Tiere and Nico Muller taking his place in the 1stXV. The pack of forwards remained unchanged.

The Diamantveld team shows only one change with Dennie Ludick coming in for Frans Williams.

Again not a question if Affies 1stXV will win but rather by how much. Expect Affies to give the ball lots of air but hopefully with a bit more control and support to the runners. From Diamantveld expect the unexpected, they will try and surprise Affies at every opportunity. Expect the unexpected. An Entertaining fixture with a lot of excitement.
