Grey College 56-14 Helpmekaar

It took Grey five minutes to open the scoring, followed by their second within minutes to lead 14-00. Helpmekaar started to claw their way back into the match, and following an extended period spent in Grey's red zone, Following a patient build-up, Helpmekaar crashed over the tryline to cut Grey's lead to seven points. Grey led 14-07 after twelve minutes of play in the first half. Grey retook control and scored their third try off a five-meter lineout-maul to extend their lead (21-07). With five minutes to play, the flyhalf of Grey College brilliantly cut Helpmekaar's defence to pieces to extend Grey's lead to 28-07 with individual brilliance, which was the halftime score.

The match lost a lot of its structure, however, Grey continued to score and won 56-14.

Jeppe 37-24 Maritzburg College

Jeppe did well in the first half against a struggling Maritzburg College and led 20-05 at the end of the first half. Maritzburg College looked a lot better in the second half; however, during the final fifteen minutes of the second half, Jeppe upped the pace and cruised to a 37-19 lead, before Maritzburg College scored a try to make the score respectable.

Noordheuwel 14-42 Paarl Boishaai

Noordheuwel started the match like a house on fire and was assisted by two yellow cards to Boishaai. Noordheuwel struck after seven minutes of play to open the scoring with a great try in the corner, to which Boishaai replied with two converted penalties and a converted try. Noordheuwel must be given credit for the attitude they played the game, while Boishooi slowly wrestled control away from them. Boishaai led 13-07 at the halftime break.

Boishaai converted an early penalty and added a well-worked try with twenty-four minutes still to play. Noordheuwel refused to go away and scored a great try, however, Paarl Boishaai seemingly were happy to cruise to a win, and led 35-14 with fifteen minutes still to play. A clinical Boishaai deservedly won 42-14.

Northwood 20-46 Paarl Gim

Northwood converted an early penalty, whereafter Paarl Gim scored an easy try. Northwood showed early on they are at Wildklawer to impress and converted another penalty to cut Gimmies' lead to just one point after ten minutes of play. Thereafter, the dam wall started to show cracks despite a brilliant effort by Nortwood. Paarl Gim scored two tries, whereafter Northwood stunned Paarl Gim, pouncing on a Paarl Gim mistake at the kickoff to score their first try. Paarl Gim led 17-13 with five minutes still to play and scored another try to lead 24-13 at the halftime break.

Despite Paarl Gim dominating, Northwood had their moments and scored their second try of the match after eighteen minutes of play in the second half to trail 34-20. Despite everybody waiting for the dam wall to break, Nortwood hung on and can feel proud of their efforts despite losing 46-20.

Garsfontein 30-30 Oakdale

Oakdale started like a house on fire and used their big forwards to "dominate" an equally impressive Garsfontein pack. Oakdale attacked off a lineout mail and their eightman burst over Garsfontein's tryline to lead 07-00. Thereafter, Garsfontein converted a penalty. With two minutes to play, Oakdale pounced on a mistake by Garsfontein to extend their lead to 12-03. Not to be outdone, Garsfontein attacked from the kickoff and burst over for their first try to reduce Oakdale's lead to 12-10, which was the halftime score.

Once again, the two sides traded penalties before Oakdale scored their second try off a lineout maul to lead 20-13. Once again, Garsfontein attacked and was awarded a penalty try to level the scores after 48 minutes of play in the first half. Five minutes later, Garsfontein's flanker burst through several defenders to score Garsfontein's fourth try. With ten minutes still to play, Oakdale attacked from an up-and-under by Garsfontein, bursting through several tackles to level the scores. Oakdale converted a penalty with a minute to play, whereafter, Garsfontein refused an opportunity to level the scores and attacked off a five-meter lineout maul. Despite several attempts to score the winning try, Garsfontein converted a penalty to level the score for a draw.

Monnas 20-21 Outeniqua

Monnas took an early lead, converting two penalties, to lead 06-00. The rest of the half was an arm wrestle with Outeniqua having three "tries" during the final five minutes of the first half disallowed.

Outeniqua started the second half like they ended the first and scored the first try of the match after just four minutes of play in the second half. However, a mistake made by Outeniqua was pounced on by Monnas to score their first try of the match, extending Monnas' lead to 13-07. Monnas added a third try shortly thereafter to lead 20-07 as the boys in white started to dominate. Outeniqua scored a try with ten minutes to play to cut Monnas' lead to just six points. Despite Monnas' "dominance", Outeniqua took the lead (21-20) with a brilliant try. Outeniqua were the deserved winners after a fantastic 70 minutes of rugby.

DHS 24-19 Stellenberg

In an absolute cracker of a first half, it was DHS that scored first after a brilliant run by their winger to score in the corner. Three minutes later Stellenberg's hooker Liam Joubert scored off the back of a five meter lineout-maul to lead 07-05. Five minutes later, DHS struck with a brilliant individual try by their outside centre to lead 12-07 and fifteen minutes still to play in the first half. This was followed by a brilliant skip pass to put the winger of Stellenberg in space out wide to level the scores 12-12, which was also the halftime score.

In the second half, the tempo dropped visibly, however, the defence was a brutal as in the first half. The arm wrestle continued for the first twenty minutes of the second half until Stellenberg scored a great try to take the lead. However, DHS struck back almost immediately to level the scores 19-19, and with eight minutes to play, it was anyone's game. An error made by Stellenberg gave DHS the final minutes of the match in Stellenberg's red zone. With the passion in the red, both teams made "silly" decisions until the brilliant outside centre of DHS once again cut the defence of Stellenberg in two to score the winning try.

Boland Landbou 64-05 Framesby

Boland Landbou dominated for the start of the match and led 38-05 at the end of the first half. Landbou continued with their exciting brand of rugby and won with ease.

EG Jansen 20-10 Drostdy HTS

In the first half, only Drostdy scored and led 07-00 at the break. EG Jansen, unfortunately, was guilty of not using their opportunities on several occasions in the first half. EG Jansen looked much better in the second half and led 12-10 with fifteen minutes still to play in the second half, scoring two tries to the one scored by Drostdy. EG Jansen continued their much better form and added their third try with ten minutes to play to lead 20-10, which was also the final score.

Rustenburg 40-07 Vootrekker Bethehem
