Both DHL Western Province and the Airlink Pumas were desperate to secure a second win in the 2022 Carling Currie Cup competition. The Pumas shifted into 5th gear in the second half and secured a 37-11 bonus-point win over their hosts.
The Pumas started very strong and led 08-00 after just eight minutes of play. Western Province fought their way back into the game and ended the first half as the "dominant" side, however, losing out on several scoring opportunities to end the first half with the scores level on 08-08.
It was all the Pumas in the second half with the visitors dominating every aspect of the game. Unforced errors by Western Province also made it easy for the Pumas.
