Yep Another Surprise From The Eastern Cape

 

Grey High School was unbeaten until last weekend. The came up against a St Andrew's whose confidence was very high after their victory the previous weekend against Selborne 26-5 but also who have not lost since their last defeat against SACS on the 17th April, 5 wins in a row. The St Andrew's spectators saw how Grey took an early lead and after a yellow card, Grey extended that lead to 15-5. At the end of the first half Grey was seemingly in control leading 29-15. With St Andrew's piling on the pressure and Grey tiring the score was 27-36 in the favour of Grey. A try later for St Andrew's narrowing the score to 34-36 everybody thought the match was done and dusted with Grey receiving a kickable penalty. After the kick was missed by Grey St Andrew's attacked and scored the winning try to end a fantastic match. 

Graeme College was too strong for Nico Malan scoring a convincing victory 46-10. This match's result was never in doubt as the boys from Graeme control all from the kickoff. Dale had another easy victory of 38-5 stretching their winning streak to 7 games. They will meet a Grey High School still hurting from their loss against St Andrew's.

Cambridge had to deal with a disgruntled Selborne after their "shock" defeat against St Andrew's last weekend and suffered a 87-8 defeat. Cambridge lost 9 of their 12 matches during the 2017 season. Framesby getting better every week and after their win against Marlow last weekend it was expected that they would have an easy day against Brandwag. Brandwag had other ideas and at the end, it was a relieved Framesby that waved their hosts goodbye beating them 19-15.
