Weekend to come 13 March 2016

In our first review of the year we see more teams opening their season.

The fair Cape is still gripped in Popcorn Rugby fever. Not a lot of proper games being played. Boland Landbou should have it easy against Langenhoven Gim with Boishaai meeting Brandwag for an easy start to the season.

In Saarks country the match between Kearsney and Westville must be the pick. Michaelhouse should have it easy against Clifton.

Then where the big boys play. Up here in the Vaal we have several big clashes. The biggest must be between a storming Garsfontein against EG Jansen who definitely misses the fire of Stassen and flair of Crause. Playing with their no 1 scrumhalve at 10 might come and haunt them against a Garsfontein who seem to have the complete package, even though Papier is missing due to age restrictions. Monnas should have a fairly relaxed Saturday. The NEW Rustenburg vs Nelspruit should surely make all plumbing suppliers happy. Expect the sink and toilet to be thrown at each other in this battle. Oos Moot must be slight favorites for their clash against Ben Vorster. And then expect fireworks at DIE PLAAS, with Affies expected to start the season with a bang against Helpies.

Then my match of the weekend. A no1 contender in Grey Bloem against a super exciting Welkom Gym. Grey should, would and probably will win. With ease definitely not.
