The Stormers scored a vital second consecutive win with 13-0 against the Bulls at home this 2020 Super Rugby season. The Bulls on the other hand did not use their chances and will return home still looking for their first win in the 2020 Super Sport season. A solid performance from the Stormers in another outstanding defensive effort. They are yet to concede a point this season, and is sitting at the top of the South African conference after round two
The first twenty minutes was an arm wrestle with enormous pressure being applied by both sides resulting in an error-riddled opening 20 minutes with neither side able to grab the upper hand. A converted penalty by the Stormers gave them a 3-0 lead at the end of the first quarter.
The Bulls were guilty of making too many penalty-resulting errors with the Stormers using such a penalty to set up a line-out and finally crashed over for a try just before the break. The Stormers lead 8-0 halftime but the Bulls definately not out of it as of yet.
Although the Bulls is starting to gain momentum a brilliant try by Senatla gave the Stormers a 13-0 lead after the third quarter seemingly on their way to their second win of the 2020 Super Rugby Competition.
The Stormers managed to keep the Bulls from scoring with sometimes desperate defence. The Bulls, however, will travel back to Pretoria knowing this results could have been in their favour if they just use their opportunities and did not make that many errors. For the third game in a row, the "decision-making" of Cornal Hendricks again cost them vital points at crucial moments. The Stormers deservedly winning this one without conceding a point in their 2020 Super Rugby season.
